Welcome to the Drop Zone. How'd you end up here?
I'm Brian VanDongen. I play golf. Sometimes well; other times... from the drop zone. Thanks for joining me.

I'm excited to take you on a journey of golf stories, observations, thoughts, and musings.

What is From The Drop Zone? A collection of observations from around the world of golf, course critiques, stories on a journey to attempt to qualify for a state tournament, musings about golf course architecture, and just a place where people who love this ridiculous game to gather.

Because some time or another, we'll all end up at the drop zone.

But at the end, we'll all grab a transfusion at the 19th hole - the only golf hole I'm actually good at - and reminisce about our round, trying to convince ourselves and the group that our 88 could have been a 73.

Thanks for joining me in the group. Keep up pace of play, fix your ball marks, repair your divots, and let's have fun. Play well.
